On Balboa Blvd. from Burbank Blvd. up to the I-5 Overpass   Reseda, California

Watch out for Balboa Blvd. in general, from the cities of Encino, Reseda and Granada Hills. The speed limit changes from Burbank Blvd going North from 35 to 40mph and back to 35mph around Sherman Way to Parthenia. In that area the officers work together going both directions to radio each other and catch the offender. Balboa changes to 40mph past Rinaldi and then to 45 about a 1.5 miles before you get to the I-5 Fwy, but where it is 45, most people are already going 50-55mph because of the hill and the easy tendancy to speed. I've gotten my only 2 tickets in 2 different places on this street in the last 15 years. Advice - Don't go more than 5mph over the speed limit Anywhere on Balboa.

Tampa Boulevard near Saticoy Boulevard   Reseda, California

I drive this route twice a day. Frequent motorcycle enforcement between Saticoy and the Ventura FWY behind cars, in driveways, and standing behind objects. Very good at making themselves difficult to see. Brazen to the point of never getting on their bikes, stepping into traffic and waving speeders to pull over to side of road. They are looking for lead cars taking off at green lights. There's three lanes and drivers frequently pass slower traffic from the parking lane. Keep your eyes fixed down the road if speeding, especially on long stretches.

Motorcycle cop sits on the West Side of Tampa Avenue inbetween Strathern and Saticoy and catches the "speeders" going South on Tampa coming from Roscoe. He blends in, inbetween the cars parked on Tampa Avenue.
