As you travel down the hill on Jermantown just before you reach the light at 123, officers stand on the corner of an intersection under trees (usually shaded and difficult to see until you are just next to them)with radar. Most everyone is going faster because it is down a hill.

Blake Lane near Edgelea Road

As you are heading southeast on Blake Lane, just before you cross the bridge over I-66, there are motorcycle speed traps that hide behind the bushes at the base of Blake Lane, on the right (heading away from 123).

They are more common if you are traveling around the time Oakton High School (a few blocks away) starts.

It is not uncommon to see groups of cars pulled over by 3 or 4 officers.

The frequency of this trap is about once every few weeks – with active enforcement several days in a row common.

Two speed traps on Route 123 between Oakton and Fairfax.

Heading south into Fairfax from Vienna (just after interstate 66 exit 60), the speed limit is reduced from 35 to 30. Cops hide on the right just after the overpass. I saw them during the day.

Heading north into Vienna from Fairfax (just after interstate 66 exit 60), cops hide in the median. Speed limit is 35. I usually see them at night.
