The County now pays huge overtime to Deputys to write tickets. Quota is 1.5 tickets per hour in order to make enough money to pay overtime and still make money for the county.

Officers make up pacing tickets that lawyers won’t even try and beat. I was accused of doing 82 in a 70 which is reckless driving. I had just entered I85 with the officer behind me (I new he was there) 3/10s of a mile later I am pulled over getting a ticket. Total BS with this speed trap and I have to travel that road every day.

east of Walmart, towards high school. cops patrolling in unmarked, innocent looking cars. paid 230.00 for going 75 in 55 zone.

I drive to Virginia often, and there is always multiple state troopers in the median monitoring traffic in the south bound lane of I85 within 10mi of the NC state line.

I have been pulled many times and given a warning at speeds that were not in excess of 5mph over the limit.

Driving on Interstate 85 – Southbound, an unmarked State Police car caught me doing 93 in a 70. Didn’t realize that I was going that fast. The officer was respectable, but the judge is not a very forgiving person. I had a clean driving record, hired a lawyer and got a 250 plus court costs fine. Lawyer cost 900.
