Mount Tabor, Vermont Speed Traps

ALL LEO’s and civilians- be warned- there is a constable of this town who in my guess this is all he does. I do not think he understands what service means or other MOS. He is lacking in understanding of this concept. You will get a ticket- for any amount over the limit.

Constable Nelson Tift will sit in the depression on the side of the road usually facing south…he is up in age and doesn’t like to sit in the sun. Black Dodge Challenger or the like, unmarked…. Just LOVES to give tickets. Usually weekends, he sleeps in & arrives onsite @ 8:30 am and usually packs it in @ 4 to 5. You’ve been warned.

U.S.Route 7 runs through a fairly unoccupied corner of Mt. Tabor for about 3/4 of a mile with just one convienience store /gas station. The posted speed limit signs are mixed in with other similarly sized signs so as to be hard to see. Speed changes from 55 to 45 here. Watch for a CHP Camaro and a Constable with a stainless 45 Cal. on his hip.
