Spengler Dr. and Stevenson   Sacramento, California

Motorcycle cops park nose pointed to Stevenson. Usually 4-5 houses down. He is usually hidden due to vehicles parked on the street. he will either catch you doing a "Hollywood" stop at the only stop sign on that street. Or he catches speeders that come from behind him.

EB I-80 between Longview, Watt and Auburn Exits.   Sacramento, California

EB I-80 between Longview, Watt and Auburn Exits. I-80 adds the HOV lane between these exits. CHP sit on the long entrance ramp from Longview Ave, totally unseen from the driver. The Watt Ave Light Rail station is on the left. As the jersey barriers end on the left, there might be a CHP radar patrolman trying to catch lane violators and speeders merging into the HOV lane. Avoid getting a ticket that will ruin your Reno weekend.

NB I-5 between W. El Camino exit and EB I-80 Exit.   Sacramento, California

NB I-5 between W. El Camino exit and EB I-80 Exit/merge. Approx. 500 feet after W. El Camino exit there is a wide shoulder where CHP sits perpendicular to the freeway. CHP sits behind a streetlight with radar gun pointing in your direction. The nose of the cruiser and reflective "CHP" decals are only visible until its too late. Almost always posted there weekend nights after dark. P.S. Due to budget cuts, Sacramento no longer sends out "courtesy notices" for speeding tickets. You have to be proactive and call or go to the courthouse or you will be fined an additional $300 civil assessment fee for missed court appearance. TAKE HEED and WATCH YOUR SPEED!!

Response Road near Point West Way-- 50 tickets a day   Sacramento, California

I see a minimum of 50 tickets a day given out here from my window in an apartment nearby. Two motorcycle cops hide near the side of road near Heritage and Response road. They get people going around the curve toward Exposition Blvd. Be careful on this curve... They are out there damned near every day. Worst speed trap I've ever seen.
