Located in Moscow   Stowe, Vermont

Yes, most certainly a speed trap if you are using this as the promoted alternative route to and from Stowe. The PD love to park in the church parking lot at night.......very hard to see in the darkened street. I love to blast them with the high beams on the way back from the pizza joint. Spot on about "no mercy". Got a report from a resident down the road from Waterbury that got a huge fine while using that route on a weekend morning on his way to the mountain. Real nice way to treat a neighboring town resident.

Stagecoach Road near State Route 100   Stowe, Vermont

The Stagecoach Road is an alternate route that runs parallel with state Route 100 between Stowe and Morrisville, VT. From Rt 100, the Stagecoach Road is a 1.5 mile stretch of straight, flat road that approaches a hill at the Stowe/Morrisville town line. Stowe cops sit hidden at the bottom of the hill catching speeders coming down the hill or those trying to gain speed as they approach the long uphill grade.

Moscow Road near State Highway 100   Stowe, Vermont

Leaving Stowe Ski Area. Four cop cars in a two mile stretch pulling over skiers, mostly on vacation in their loser town. Cop lied about my speed and gave me a ticket not worth driving back to fight.

Mountain Road, Catholic Church   Stowe, Vermont

Carefully parked to avoid local lights highlighting blue reflective panels. Dark painted SUV faces Mt Mansfield from shrubs bordering the parking lot for the Catholic Church ... I don't think the cop was a religious man, but he did seem keen on hearing confessions.

Barrows Road between Stowe and Moscow   Stowe, Vermont

Going south on Barrows Road from Stowe, beware of the downhill section past the high school. The posted limit is 35mph, but you can easily lose track of your speed on the relatively steep hill. The police usually wait about 1000ft past the bottom of the hill in a parking area for some tennis courts on the right.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
