Salinas, California Speed Traps
San Benancio Road just off State highway 68
Usually 2 motorcycle officers with radar are located at a pull out just past San Benancio middle school. They trap drivers coming around a curve and going toward Highway 68.
State Highway Hwy 101 near Morro Road
One officer with the radar at the bottom of the hill and 10 or 15 squads and cycles ready to catch-up to you.
Sherwood Drive near US Highway 101
As traffic passes over 101 southbound, speed limit falls from 45 to 35. Often there are Salinas PD motorcycle patrolmen at the bottom of the hill with radar.
Main Street near State Route 68
Right as you are coming into the city limits of Salinas on Hwy 68 as Main St. begins along the fields on the right.
Russel Road near US Highway 101
A highway patrol officer will usually be sitting on the side of the road waiting for people that exit highway 101 North onto Russel road. Also closer towards the end of Russel heading toward San Juan Grade, the speed limit falls from 45mph to 35mph and I have seen several cars stopped right at this point when the speed just suddenly drops.
