SBPD sitting behind bushes just west of CHP station stopping people for driving over 25 mph on street with no speed limit sign. Similar streets in area have 40 mph speed limits, so drivers naturally think that this street has the same limit, but they’re sadly mistaken. This speed trap has been going for several weeks now as of 8/1/2012, but only seems to be in place during 9-5 working hours.

Brier Dr. near Carnegie and Hospitality in San Bernardino

San Bernardino Police are issuing citations for speeding along a four lane (divider exists in parts) highway. There is no posted speed limit. ITT Technical, Art school, and National University are nearby. I’m able to watch the activity from my office window. It appears the average traffic speed is between 35-40 mph. Because of the large number of stops per hour, I suspect the officer is citing for exceeding 25 mph.

New Connector Ramp NB 215 to WB 210

San Bernardino, CaliforniaJul 02, 20120 Comments

NB 215 new connector ramp to WB 210 merges onto WB 210. At end of ramp is a guardrail perpendicular to traffic on wide shoulder where CHP unit sits with officer and radar gun. CHP vehicle difficult to spot until it’s too late. Very easy to speed coming off connector. Watch out!
