118 Freeway West bounc   San Fernando, California

This speed trap is pretty legendary. Located on the 118 freeway west bound right before the 118 branches into 5N and 5S. The fact is everyone drives at least 70mph especially in the mornings when rushing to work so the motorcycle CHP and squad car literally have their pick of cars to ticket. They're sneaky in that they hide at this on ramp to the right so that if your're in the fast lane you'll already pass them. Especially if you're coming off the 210 west and merging onto the 118 west. After the 118 overpass your car quickly picks up speed. Those who take this route know what I mean. Slow down because that's how they get you. They also get ya further down at the 405 split off the 118. The officers are also notorious for not showing you the speed results off their radar gun. My best advice is to leave your car at 65 cruise control especially around that area

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
