Issaquah, Washington Speed Traps
2nd Ave x Evans St + next 0.2 miles south (Issaquah HS)
Photo radar. Starts at Evans and continues until the Issaquah High School (HS) traffic lights. The speed limit is 25 mph but the device will trigger upon any instantaneous speed above even if speed is encountered for mere fractions of a seconds duration. In practice cars have to drive 5 to 10 below to avoid ticket. At speed of 15 mph per second it takes 41 seconds to drive 900 feet. Enforced 7 am to 4 pm.
Near Issaquah High School
Be aware there is a speed camera set up along the road leading past Issaquah High School. Granted, there are signs warning of the reduced speed limit during school hours, but it is very sensitive and even if one drives at the regular slow pace of the usual 25 MPH, during school hours one can get a ticket for doing as little as 23 MPH. Trust me, I’ve received tickets twice for the infraction.

Cops always sit at the long straigh-way leading to Exit 17 on I-90, There are two exit-only lanes, and by then most everyone is off of the road. If you pick up any speed a cop will stop you.
