As 166th avenue goes down the hill, a speedtrap is present all the way from the intersection with 85th to downtown. There is almost always a cop present. This is after a whole mile of no lights, so people generally are going fast.

Every weekday the police aggressively pull people over on 154th AVE NE on a short stretch of road where the speed changes from 35 to 30 mph. This area is an office park and not a residential or school area. There are very few pedestrians.

Willows Rd x 116 St (car waiting for left turn lights)

Redmond, WashingtonJul 24, 20140 Comments

Northbound Willows road going to Kirkland. Car waiting to make a left turn will also measure speed. Observed 6:20 pm on a Wednesday. Eventually makes the turn left, but instantly makes U-turn on NE 116 St and gets back on Willows Rd again. Noteworthy is that main road has generous allocations for U-turn without making the turn left first. Because of long green light there is plenty of time to measure speed on the main road.
