Various hiding places along this divided road. 35 mph is strictly enforced. Because there is only one traffic light at the Loch Lomond Marina and no Stop signs, it is easy to forget and press down more on the accelerator. Don’t do it, no matter how clear the conditions seem. Officers hide at Montecito, Summit Drive, and Bayside Acres, as well as in front of larger parked vehicles with their radar.

San Rafael Bridge and environs – I-580

San Rafael, CaliforniaMar 22, 20110 Comments

CHP is patrolling heavily on the approach to the bridge, the bridge itself, the transition from 580 to 101, and on 580 on the Richmond side of the bridge. If heading west on the bridge, be careful as you pass under the Sir Francis Drake overpass–CHP is likely to be hiding on the right shoulder, and will see you before you see him. Limit in both directions is 55, and they are enforcing with only a little bit of leeway.
