SR 126 – 4 lane between Santa Paula & Fillmore

Normally I worked "moving" radar as it allowed me to cover my beat better than "stationary". 99% was opposite-direction radar. By putting the radar in the "hold" mode, no signal was going out for radar detectors. When I’d see a speeder (via experienced estimation), I’d take the radar off "hold", lock their speed in, slow and wait for them to pass, then make a U-turn and pull them over. It wasn’t uncommon to find 75+ speeders. I retired and gave the beat to my successors.

Westbound, CHP parks on right shoulder just after curve that is right before offramp. Also VCSD and CHP park on Briggs on ramps (both directions).
