San Diego Sheriff Department / Santee Sheriff uses LIDAR, sits behind an Apartment building, marked car, physcially hides behind bush. This is a Local Road per California Road System (CRS) Maps (http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/tsip/hseb/crs_map/16y21.pdf, http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/tsip/hseb/crs_map/16y21.pdf) (http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d17/vc40802.htm), can't use Speed Trap Defense. Road is downhill, recent took out Stop Sign to increase speed downhill. 25 MPH MAX. GRAMPA IT! Charged with 22350, claimed 38 in a 25; i was going at a safe speed for conditions (no people, no cars pulling out, no cars parked next to my lane, clear visability, quality firm asphault road, no weaving.) - BE AWARE!

Mission Gorge Rd and Towne Center Pkwy (east side)   Santee, California

Sheriff motorcycle cops sit in between businesses in the driveways, usually around a lot of brush, trees or street-front signage for camoflauge. The speed limit is 40 mph and morning rush hour is their preferred hit time.

Cuyamaca St near Rio Seco School   Santee, California

Sheriff motorcycle cops sit in front of the district office (school zone,) usually in front of a parked car, and step out into the street as you come up the rear of the parked car. There are often 2 of these nice men meeting their daily quota in the mornings. Sometimes they sit across the street in the business centers' driveway, just before the bridge and walk out to stop you.

Officers will park on west-bound side of road along with street parking and poke their heads out to check your speed. If you are found speeding, they will walk out into the street and signal you to pull over.
