A motorcycle officer waits in the parking lot of the hardware store on 5th street. He hides behind a van, or other cars so you cannot see him. He is primarily there in the morning watching west bound traffic.

Los Angeles Avenue at First Street (Eastbound)

The entire stretch of Los Angeles Avenue between Erringer and Sinaloa is 40 mph. The rest of the road is 45 to as high as 55 mph. There are a number of officers that hide out on that stretch since the road is wide, smooth, and traffic flows well. Be careful!

118 West Bound from Yosemite to just past Stearns.

Simi Valley, CaliforniaMay 17, 20120 Comments

Driving West on the 118 Freeway there is one CHP who is parked on the onramp watching traffic. There is a second one who is parked in a small utility alcove between the Stearns Offramp and the Stearns Onramp. There is a long stretch of highway between Stearns and Tapo. They both pull people off on Tapo. I watched them one evening from the parking lot of Bed Bath and Beyond. They just spend the whole shift writing tickets, getting back on the freeway, and in a few minutes time, you see them again writing another ticket. I see them writing their tickets practically every time I drive down Tapo. Be careful.
