Hwy 121 northbound from Sears point (hwy 37)

CHP often hides on ranch driveways in several spots from Hwy 37. They catch you on the windy hilly road when you are a lone, especially at night. I have been tagged twice before I got wise and invested in a radar detector which goes off constatnly through this area

CHP uses radar and laser here. Most common place to see CHP is parked on elevated driveway just west of Watmaugh Rd. or on shoulder hidden by trees. It used to be a 55 zone and is now a 45 zone that is lowered to 40 during construction. Watch out going down hill in the eastbound lane.

Eastbound traffic, CHP sits on the side of the road picking people off like flys.

After a windy section of road that has had numerous traffic fatalities in the past, the road straightens out and runs downhill. The speed limit changes from 45 to 55 past Watmaugh road, and C.H.P. hangs in ranch driveways and behind trees to get you speeding up to 55 to soon.

5th West Street

Watch it @ the stop signs and remember there is likely to be a cop at any cross street that will hit you with radar before you know what happened. I hate to say it but go the limit and make complete stops on this one. It is a bread & butter enforcement alley
