State Highway 91   Hanceville, Alabama

initial speed limit on hwy out of town is set at 35. It changes to 45 but stays 45 for several miles out of town before changing finally to 55. While adjusting my speed to 55 on my cruise control which I use regularly after seeing the 55 mph sign the policeman came around a curve from the opposite direction and after passing me well in the 55 mph zone turned around and came after me. He said he clocked me at 58 in when he saw me. He was nearly a quarter of a mile ahead at the time. He said I had not gotten completely past the 55 mph sign yet so I had not crossed the imaginary line in the road where it changes from 45 to 55. Could the city be desperate for fine money? I am 58 years old and this is my first speeding ticket in my lifetime. Since I was right at the 55 mph sign on my side of the road I did not feel it was justified. Plus he could not see the sign from his vantage point.

Highway 31, by the college and Louisiana Pacific   Hanceville, Alabama

They hide at the areas where the speed limits change on Highway 31. They actually harrass the college students. They sit in marked and unmarked cars. They will pursue a car all far into the next city limit. They also pull cars over for just having a tag light out. This has been going on every day and have been seen pulling more than one at a time over.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
