Lakeshore, Ontario Speed Traps

Between Highway 22 and 42. The speed limit was 80 km/h and the road was repaved and widen. Its in an industrial area (lots of trucks – automotive supplier have many plants off of this road) and big empty tracks of farm land. Only 6 houses cover this huge area. Apparently, they all complained to Lakeshore who lower the speed to 60 km/h – shame on Lakeshore. The OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) hide between trees with a radar gun on a tripod waiting for anyone over 60 km/h – which is every driver, cause seriously 60 km/h for was is really a highway with no lights or stop signs.

Part of this road is listed at only 60km/h because of the handful of houses which are built next to a land dump. They all got Lakeshore to lower the limit because of all the trucks hauling dirt from Huron Church for the new border crossing to Detroit. Shame on Lakeshore. OPP make easy $ picking off drivers who can’t believe the speed is that low and don’t notice the change midway on the road.
