Eastbound on Hess Road from I-25 to Rueter-Hess Reservoir

Castle Pines, ColoradoMar 21, 20220 Comments

Speed limit on Castle Pines Parkway heading east across I-25 is 40 mph but past the interstate about 1/8 mile it drops to 35 mph for about another 1/8 mile but then goes up again to 50 mph. The west bond traffic on Hess road approaching I-25 is on the flat range but then abruptly goes downhill into the 35 mph zone and that’s where you get nailed.

There are two spots along Castle Pines Pkway. One is Just East of Monarch, at the top of the hill. a Standing DougCo Dep will get you on radar and flag you over to a waiting group of patrol cars. This is as your going East (towards I-25) at the top of the hill before you get to King Supers. (some what rare, but NO WARNINGS!)

The second is on the west side of Monarch, durring school hours a DougCo Dep sits and watches the school zone. Make sure that your only go 25 when the lights are flashing. (Some what common area)
