Parry Sound, Ontario Speed Traps

From Avro Arrow road south to Lake Street is a designated community safety zone and posted as 60km/h max. Fines are doubled in community safety zones. Local OPP and HSD units conduct radar on this stretch in both marked and stealth cruisers. Fines are ridiculously high because of the community safety zone designation. Slow down, and obey the limit!

Local OPP patrol this street daily. I’ve seen them in marked and unmarked cruisers. The posted max. limit is 50km/h and its a designated community safety zone so that means fines are doubled. Slow down as they have zero tolerance.

At Nobel Road heading into town from Highway 124, the speed limit changes from 80km/h to 50 km/h. Local OPP are always sitting near the YMCA doing radar or patrolling in cruisers. The sudden speed change = high fines if you are caught!

they set up behind the rr bridge, overpass abutment ,on the south bound side put the radar gun on a tripod , hide the cruiser behind the bridge , theres a long downhill ess bend in the road , there at the bottom , you cannot see them , until its to late

Police sit on the south side of Mcdougall just a stone throw from Hwy 400 pointing their radar gun east. The road has a straight section there and is real easy to speed, the speed limit is only 60kmh.
