I-20 Alabama state line ending west of Anniston   Heflin, Alabama

Starting at the Alabama state line on I-20 continuing to just west of Highway 21 on I-20. State troopers, city and county police have dropped the speed limit from 70 mph to 55 mph. I see as many 10 vehicles pulled over.

Westbound on I-20 near GA border   Heflin, Alabama

Unmarked p/u truck on a bridge taking pictures of all westbound traffic....up to 10 chase cars....ongoing activity. As you leave GA the speed is 70mph....at the AL border there is a temporary lighted sign with small letters indicating 55mph, but difficult to see because the sun is reflecting off the sign and you are driving 70mph speed. One expects this type of sign to provide roadwork activity info. No construction activity in either direction...go figure. 70mph is posted later in the Anniston, AL area on the same interstate hwy.

I-20 Exit 205   Heflin, Alabama

A decoy car will be siting on the overpass very often now due to the speed limit change to 55 entering Alabama. It is either an SUV, F-250, or blue car all unmarked. They do this at least once a month but right now it is almost every weekend. They usually have at least 10 officers working this area so watch out for this sorry act of our law enforcement.

At Mile Marker 196 on I-20 (8 miles from GA)   Heflin, Alabama

There is wooded area and there is a small clearing where the State and Local officials sit and wait. About a mile up I-20 there is a perfect place to stop you and give you ticket. They profile expensive cars with out of state plates.

Interstate 20 near Exit Number 199   Heflin, Alabama

A large number of Alabama State Troopers were camping the exit near Heflin Alabama on I-20, in Cleburn county. They were armed with Lidar, and stopping large numbers of people at once. It is extremely hard to see this speedtrap until you have a State Trooper entering the highway with your car picked out and his lights on. Be aware, holiday travelers returning from Atlanta or further afar.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
