Estes Park, Colorado Speed Traps

Right at the base of a hill, heading north to Estes Park. Pulled off behind some trees on a turnout. Early Sunday morning, so seeking to empty our R&R dollars before we get into town to stimulate the economy….

As you are heading up the Hwy 36 canyon from Lyons to Estes Park, once you come out of the canyon where it flattens out into Meadowdale, there is often a speedtrap waiting on the West side of the road. It’s in a blind spot as you’re heading up the canyon, and it’s in a spot where you can get up to 70 mph when going down the canyon.
