Key West, Florida Speed Traps

Three police cars had a car pulled over. I got stopped for passing them 5 miles over the limit (35 mph in a 30 limit). In the time I was pulled over they stopped 4 more cars passing their flashing lights. Ticket is just under $200. Hmmm, just may be a "fatten the pocket" scam. Come on, $200 times 5 for 5 miles over the limit. Sounds like more of a fill the pocket routine rather than taking care of anything close to CRIME!

Saw police standing at entance of Doubletree with radar, had car in drive with lights on ready to roll.

One or Two Police Officers stake out this area patiently sitting in the shade with their radar/lazer guns, their unforgiving. They are usually hitting traffic heading East in between 12th through 20th Streets!

The whole town is a speed trap. The Police give you no leeway and the top
speed is 30 mph. S. Roosevelt Blvd is their favorite.
