CHP units will hide in a blind curve, especially at night, and cite motorists as they enter a curve where the speed limit deceases from 65 mph to 55 mph. It is my present understanding that the speed limit has been raised in the last year, but still beware that the CHP still heavily enforces this stretch of I-5 north of Redding.
