Peyton, Colorado Speed Traps

Traveling S. on Curtis Rd. from Jones Rd.-had just turned onto Curtis Rd and barely passed that horse bording stable on west side of street, and deputy was traveling N towards me. ‘Said he clocked me at 64 in a 45’. Granted, the speed limit on Curtis Rd is 45mph until you get to 94, but I didn’t have time to excellerate to 64mph! He never showed me the radar gun, but did drop the ticket down. Also folks, in the same area of Curtis and Jones Rd., if you head East on Jones Rd, there’s always a marked car sitting at either the farm house on the corner of Jones and Curtis, or hiding somewhere on the side of the Falcon Fire station. I see him on a daily basis usually in the AM. The speed limit on Jones Rd is also 45mph, but now I just do 40. Beware if you are traveling W. on Jones from Wileys as there is a nice sized hill that you can easily coast to over the posted limit, cop is down at the bottom waiting for you!
