they usually sit north/southbound between 7 Falls State Park and the center of Higganum on the bridge into the vet clinic, at Larry’s Auto, at the intersection of Rt 154 & Rt 81, between the country market and the feed store. they will ticket for being just a couple miles per hour over the limit and almost never issue warnings.

Route 9 Exit 8 (Both directions)

The staties tend to like this location. Most of the time, they sit on a dirt road in the median within a half-mile of exit 8 (after passing it southbound), but they have other hiding spots in the area, too. The dirt road is impossible to see until it’s too late coming either way (soutbound-obstructed view, northbound-after a large hill). Slow down when you pass the first exit 8 sign either way. They tend not to bother anyone under 75.

The police have a good hiding spot in the median at exit 9 between the exit itself and the on-ramps. Slow down for this exit.
