Bottom of the hill on U.S. 550 NB coming into Silverton
San Juan County Sheriff sits at the bottom of the hill at a bend in the road. Speed limit is 30 mph in this area. Very easy to miss this since most of the mountain is at 40 mph or higher in more treacherous areas than this. This is a very steep hill. Very difficult to maintain 30mph without riding the brake in this area.
