Officer sits off center of hill and uses radar to get you as you top hill-speed is 45 posted in curve making it very easy to miss as you concentrate on maneuvering curve. The speed limit sign is also set back off the road some so it is not readily visible. Most other roads in the area the speed limit is 55–

The Police sit right past the bridge beside the water building on the right and wait for speeders. The speed limit is 50 and it is a straight-a-way so watch out.

Helen Hwy ( Hwy 75 North) just north of the city limits

Cleveland, GeorgiaApr 30, 20100 Comments

Northbound: speed limit is 45 but it is easy to go 55-60mph. The Sheriff’s sit with radar all along this stretch..easy pickins.

Southbound from Helen is worse! Speed limit drops to 45 from 55 without warning and inadequate signage (only 3 speed limit signs in 2.5 mi stretch and one is directly behind a "Bike Lane" sign! The Sheriff’s and GSP take advantage of this BIG time. Anyone could fight this and win easily with a couple photos!
