corner of Alta Loma and Sunny Vista   Joshua Tree, California

this is a 4 way stop, but the streets do not flow directly across and through the intersection. Because of this many people don't wait their turn to go, instead they go after the car in front of them, forgetting to look at the other cars and each of the stop signs, or perhaps just ignoring the other cars. Often a local law enforcement person will park near this intersection and ticket those drivers who don't come to a full stop before proceeding, or those that do not "take their turn". Those of us that live in this area are appreciative of this officer doing his job to make the road safer. Remember the rule about arriving at the stop sign at the same time as another car and who goes first??? the person to your right goes first... it might be you - or it might be him - just follow the rules and be safe!
