State police sit at the gore point of the exit 6 on ramp monitoring traffic right at the greenwich-stamford town line. CT State Police generally give you to at least 80 in a posted 55, and this is a posted 55 zone, so long as you are not driving in a manner in which your vehicle stands out. However, like their hiding place NB at Exit 5, you will not see them until they see you.

This speed trap is on the Merritt Parkway going south right after exit 36. The police like to hang out there because people usually go about 65 after they go down that big hill. I always see them giving someone a ticket down there.

Police (often unmarked cars) often hang out on Westover Road before and after West Hill Road, and they clock drivers and aggressively ticket those going in excess of the 25 MPH speed limit.

At the intersection of Dancy Dr and West Hill Road, there is a private driveway and access road to the cemetery that the police frequently abuse as a public area to park. They sit right there on the blind curve where people travel at an excess of 50 MPH at times because West Hill Road is a big East-West street. It also handles a lot of traffic for the two public schools. You will almost always find a police officer along West Hill Rd between 6:30 AM and 10 AM and again from 1 PM to 4 PM when school is arriving/departing. The posted 25 MPH speed limit isn’t even obeyed by the drivers of large school buses.
