Elsmere, Delaware Speed Traps

Going past the mcdonalds in elsmere on s. union street before the bridge entering elsmere, as rediculous as it is to go what… 25? i think thats posted and yeah, i can run faster than that, some officer in a black and white at the mcdonalds will cream you with a fine… just sayin.

Elsmere Police sit along the service road that runs parallel to DuPont Road near the Manchester Apts.

The entire town of Elsmere is a speed trap, from the bridge into Wilmington to the 141 interchange. The school/20 mph flashing lights are on at all kinds of random non-school hours, even though the schools are blocks off the main highway, and the police have many places they sit and hide, both on Route 2 (Kirkwood Highway) and on the side streets. Your best bet is to obey the speed limit at all times (35 mph down to 20 mph). This is a major artery into Wilmington and is notorious for police ticketing "speeders."

Police in Elsmere don’t spend their time enforcing rules on it’s crime causing citizens rather it enforces traffic fines for doing as much as 36 MPH in the 35 MPH zone, don’t slow down through this town just avoid it and it’s business district as well.
