Highway 70 inside Arcadia, FL   Arcadia, Florida

Two citations, 1 miles apart from each other, given for the same reason by two different officers of the City Police to the same person (me) and 6 minutes apart. Never got a ticket before in my life in 38 years as a driver. The officer claimed that I was going 20 miles/hr in a 15 miles/hr school zone. They claimed that there are two school zones. Each patrol car and each officer gave a corresponding citation. Is this a speed trap? Can you get a citation for the same thing twice by two different officers in two different cruisers within 6 minutes of each other and at a distance of 1 to 2 miles apart from each other?

N Desoto Ave & Cypress St   Arcadia, Florida

You come off HWY 17 into town (3 lanes, one way divided highway); 45 mph speed limit sign posted, then immediately there is a 35 mph zone. By the time you see signs/can slow down, it is too late. Cops sit on side street behind trees picking off"drivers. """

State Highway 70 near East of the state prison   Arcadia, Florida

On St Rd 70 east of Arcadia just past the State Prison are at least 3 FHP protrolling in the area and pulling as many as 10 speeders or more a day in the area.I watched as many as 4 in an hour and seen 12 speeders in an 8 hour day.Its a very rural area ,nothing but pasture land and speed limit is 60 mph and no residencancy for miles. The highway is a straight road connecting the West coast to the East coast and many travelers using the 2 lane route.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
