State Police as well as locals finest sit on either side of the road just waiting for those speeding up too soon (coming from town heading south) before the limit changes from 45 to 55 or waiting for those not decreasing their speed from 55 to 45 in time.

US 129 aka Blood Mountain on Union County side   Blairsville, Georgia

Officer, usually state trooper, sits in shade in low profile vehicle just past Vogel State Park entrance when heading up the mountain (southbound). Ka band is silent until you round the corner. Bad thing is that speed limit is now 35 mph on a road that was higher previously. Worse on weekends when trooper gets as much business as he has paper.
