The zone is a 50 MPH and there is a traffic signal in front of the Advanced Auto – Publix is on the other side. There is no street name given for the light but it appears to be Boston Road.

Bonita Beach Road near Just before Little Hickory Is. Bridge

Bonita Springs, FloridaJan 17, 20040 Comments

When going either east of west on Bonita Beach Road where it turns into Hickory Boulevard between the mainland and Little Hickory Island, a police vehicle will occasionally sit on the north side of the road clocking vehicles coming and going over the bridge. This bridge is a 40 mph zone but frequently sees vehicles going in excess of 60 mph+ and was the scene of a traffic fatility recently (Dec. ’03). Please be careful as this is a gateway to the Bonita and Fort Myers beaches and keep near the limit as their are lots of unfamiliar and/or careless tourists who will change lanes and speeds without warning due to the lane reduction past the bridge.
