HWY 80 heading North entering Nixon from the South   Nixon, Texas

North bound into town the speed limit drops from 65 to 55 to 45 in less than 1000 feet so quick you have to slam on the brakes to get to 45. If you coast down you will get a ticket. There is a place you can see where the cops sit and make a U-turn to issue a ticket. Got a ticket for 58 in a 45.

within city limits along U.S. 87   Nixon, Texas

With a per capita income of approximately $10,500, Nixon makes its budget by staking out constables along U.S. 87, picking off motorists going north to San Antonio or south to the Gulf coast. Beware when pulling out of the gas stations or cafes and accelerating to highway speed.
