Elevator Road (Rockton Road East)

Roscoe, IllinoisJan 13, 20111 Comments

Drivers heading West toward Roscoe have to slow down almost instantly from 55mph to 35mph just before the bridge crossing over the I-90 toll road. This area is extremely rural and there is no reason for going such a ridiculous slow speed other than to provide a means for the Roscoe Police department to earn some extra revenue while ruining a persons day, and not doing any good deed in the process. Basically every motorist will speed over this bridge because the 35mph sign is hard to see as it has some foliage blockage, especially in the summer, and because it is such an assenine speed for the area. The police wait about 600 feet in front of the bridge on the East side of the Road, and they do this often at night in order to be more of a predator.
