US Highway 27 Lake Hamilton, Florida

The Lake Hamilton Police trap on both the north and south bound lanes frequently. Cars travelling south come round a bend into Lake Hamilton and the cruiser is often parked in the boat launch ramp parking lot on the right. North bound traffic comes round a bend and the cruiser is sitting on a small road just past the convenience store on the right.

Small town with very limited income so drops speed limit on major highway to catch as many as posssible to up town budget.

US Highway 27 near Boat Ramp Lake Hamilton, Florida

Lake Hamilton PD hides on side road behind large Doctor's office sign just past boat ramp or at entrance to boat ramp itself. Location is just before Dundee when traveling southbound on US 27. Usually at night and officer never has any sort of lights on. Also, trap is just around a tree-obscured corner so you'll never see them until they get you. Officer actually threatened arrest of myself for reckless endangerment and my sleeping passenger as an accomplice for 27 over at 2am with not another car in sight.

State Highway Alt 27 near Lake Hatchineha Road Lake Hamilton, Florida

Lake Hamilton marked patrol car usually sits beside abandoned gas station on corner. Not visible until you are right on them. Speed limit is 45 MPH, but roadway is downhill, be cautious. Mostly daylight hours, worst on weekends.
