Clayton Avenue   Mount Dora, Florida

Traveling south on Dora Avenue from unincorporated Orange County, the road switches names once and then becomes Clayton. Cresting a hill the speed drops to 45mph and shortly thereafter to 25mph. City police, who write a record number of tickets for speeding in Lake County, are there in the am, just when you are heading to work or school to step out of a side street with radar. There are no breaks in this city.

11th Avenue   Mount Dora, Florida

Mt. Dora PD (especially motorcycle police) hide near an orange grove on 11th Ave. near the top of the hill at all times of day and night and if motorists are speeding"in excess of the posted 25 mph they are ticketed. This is a difficult area to maintain a 25 mph speed since it is hilly and motorists must ride their brakes to maintain this low speed.

From old 441 heading south on Clayton St after the stop sign continuing down grade. Speed limit is 25. Local Police seem to like to stop out of state plates - The Old South still lives. (Mount Dora, Lake County)

State Route 441 near Lincoln Avenue   Mount Dora, Florida

Mount Dora police department sets up in parking lot of Rennigers Antique mall, drivers are clocked from the minute they hit the top of the hill prior to Lincoln Ave.

Units are impossible to spot until you are right on top of them, have almost caused numerous accidents as drivers slam on brakes to avoid a speeding ticket. Police units usual spot is directly obstructed from casual notice by row of bushes/trees.
