Clarke Road just north of White Road

Ocoee, FloridaMay 28, 20100 Comments

Going Southbound on Clarke Road a cop will sit in the median just before White Road. He sits there before sunrise without lights on his car (which I though was illegal and that they had to have parking lights on). The guy next to be was pulled over for doing about 5 over the 45 mph limit.

Tomyn Blvd/West of Maguire Road Intersection

This is the same trap described in Maguire Rd. Same cops, same LIDAR and same times (9AM to noon, then after lunch). They now move it to 1/4 M west of that intersection in Tomyn BLVD. The 25MPH sign for that road is about 40 FT or less from the corner and you will miss it- but the cops will be waiting for you right behind the curve next to the 35MPH sign and looking for both E/W traffic.

Maguire Road

This is where Maguire Rd. goes over the Florida Turnpike. The speed limit is posted at the bottom of the overpass and the police are on the other side of the overpass. You can’t see them until they’ve already tagged you with the radar. One cop is on radar with others lined up for ticketing. (This is on Maguire going away from Colonial Dr. towards Windermere.)

Ingram Road near McKormick Road

Ocoee, FloridaApr 21, 20080 Comments

This road is in the middle of nowhere with nothing but farmland and trees on either side until the very end. The cops hide in the entrance of a cemetery and file speeders into the driveway away from the eyes of other oncoming vehicles. The speedlimit posted is 30, which is ridiculous.

Orlando Avenue near Bluford Avenue

Ocoee, FloridaFeb 05, 20080 Comments

Orlando Ave, E/of Bluford. School zone extends for an extremely long and unnecessarily extended distance to the entrance to a subdivision. The tendency is to after going through the crosswalk at < 20MPH, to speed up a bit. The area staked out is unfairly long, but they won't change it.
