Plantation Road Perry, Florida

I was on Plantation coming from Highway 27, this road is in a residential area and starts out at 40 mph and reduces to 30mph right before a bend which is ideal for the police. Wednesday April 21 I was caught speeding 1st ever ticket in my whole life and I have been driving 27 years, no warning for me just a Huge $191.00 ticket and 3 points. I was speeding at 44mph and he said if I had been doing 45mph it would have been $241.00. So beware out there and drive safely

Hampton Springs Road near Byron Buttler Boulevard Perry, Florida

Officers with the city of Perry Fl. are sitting in a parking lot on Hampton Springs Rd. (Restoration Faith Center) They are 189 feet from the speed limit sign checking target vehicles as they approach the posted speed limit sign and making cases. The sign is .10 mile south of Byron Buttler Blvd. This practice is the very definition of a speed trap. Why not do your speed enforcement past the posted sign? Officers and departments who participate in this type of enforcement should be ashamed. This breeds resentment in citizens toward officers and government as well.I called the Perry P.D. to lodge a complaint to this tactic and was told the law in Fla. is such that the speed limit is always 30 when not posted. Why have a sign at all if the public should automatically know what the speed limit is? Beware of such underhanded tactics as you drive through Florida and Specificly Perry and Baker county.

HWY 27 South in city limits Perry, Florida

The local police department is always writing tickets. There is an officer that always has someone pulled over when I driver thru from Tallahassee. Even though I knew he would be out there I got caught. The only problem is that the speed is too slow. I asked for a warning and told him that I would slow down the next time I drove through. He told me that the only warning I was going to get is when I drive by the speed limit sign and look at it. He is a big guy and very intimidating,, by the looks of his ticket book he writes alot of them. I also got a seat belt ticket on top of the ridiculous speeding ticket. BE CAREFUL!!

US 19 Perry, Florida

The FHP and some sheriffs sit there on the EXTREMELY long straight flat roads where the speed limit shouldnt exist because of the lack of stuff around! Watch out, they pull over 2 at a time.
