Tucker’s Grade between i75 and hwy 41
This short stretch of 4 lane divided road has a very low speed limit of 45 mph and is regularly monitored by radar.
W. Marion Ave in the Isles near Coranado
Four way stop signs added a couple of years ago. They park in emplty lots and love to ticket for those so called "California stops" with the slightest amount of "roll"
Olympia heading into town from PGI
Motor cycle cop, located along this very straight road when heading into town, has excellent line of sight. You will not see him, best to keep it under 35mph. 30mph is the posted limit
Citywide
There is a motorcycle cop that patrols for Punta Gorda. He will cut you an ocassional break, but he is very good at catching speeders.
North & South Bridges (US 41)
Motorcycle cop (PGPD) usually back and forth between both bridges exiting and entering the city limits of Punta Gorda. Speed limit is 45 mph……Watch out as I have seen him stop everyone traveling in excess of10 mph over the speed limit!
