State Highway 79 near I-10 Expressway   Washington, Florida

As you exit I-10, you see a posted speed of 55 mph. About 1/4 down the road, you will see a reduce speed but no further information. My husband and I have both been stopped, one officer told us the speed limit was 50 mph, no ticket was given as he was travelling 55 mph. I was travelling 55 mph and was told the speed limit is 45 during construction. I explained it was Sunday and no workers were present. I still received a ticket along with 4 other drivers pulled over with me travelling the same speed. A speed limit sign should be posted to drive 45, not just reduce speed.

State Highway 77 near First Assembly of God Church   Washington, Florida

City police often hide out behind buildings and in dark areas in this stretch of road. The posted speed limit is 35 mph, but it is right at the edge of the city limits and is a residential area. The average driver drives around 40-45 in this stretch of road as there is no congestion.

Speeding Tickets

Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
