I-20 in the Cook Springs Area   Pell City, Alabama

Stretches of I-20 East and West Bound are currently under construction and certain segments have been reduced to a ridiculous 45MPH! This is not a misprint - 45 MPH on a U.S. Interstate Highway. Doubled ticket fines are the order of the day and the State Trooper presence - combined with police from other municipalities is akin to a socialist nation at its border crossings. Worse, the parallel U.S. Highway - U.S. 78 is the only alternate route and hasn't been updated in years and even merges with I-20 for a few miles. It's a disgusting, repugnant and oppressing stretch of highway.

19th St South from RR Xing   Pell City, Alabama

Speed limit 25 mph. They sit in church parking lot , facing north. I'm not saying that you should not go slow in this area but, 25 is extreme.

Interstate 20   Pell City, Alabama

Under Title 32 in Alabama traffic law, cities under 19,000 have no legal right to enforce traffic laws on the interstate. Yesterday while coming back from Atlanta, a Pell City police car was targeting off an entrance ramp on Interstate 20. No matter what you are told by police, city hall, or a lawyer, do not accept a guilty verdict on an Interstate traffic ticket from Pell City. Appeal it if you have a guilty verdict or asked for a plea bargin. It is in black and white they have no legal right to enforce traffic laws on the interstate.

Kelly Creek Road   Pell City, Alabama

Pell City AND St. Clair Co. stay on this road a good bit. It's a winding road between Moody and Pell City. There are several areas for speed traps; suffice to say avoid this road if possible.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
