State Highway 72 near US Highway 29   Colbert, Georgia

As you drive down 72 there are a few hills in which you can't see some of the driveways on the opposite side of the road. Once you cross into Colbert city limits you had better oney the 35 mph sign otherwise it is a tickets for you. Once you leave the city limits of Colbert the speed limit is 55 mph and if the GSP stops you they will not give you a warning because of how many speeders they have everyday on that road.

State Highway 72 near State Highway Hwy 72 in the town of Colbert   Colbert, Georgia

The police sit on the side of the road where just as the speed limit changes from 55 to 45 to 35 in less than a 1/4 mile. Be aware that this is a 4 lane divided highway and the speed limit is only 35 MPH within the city limits! Both directions should watch out. Typical small rural town speedtrap.
