Dacula, Georgia Speed Traps

Officer in the turning lane of Fairmont on the Park neighborhood, no lights, in complete dark, dangerous if you turn into neighborhood since he is blocking and hard to spot him. Dangerous to him because to get around landscaping to clock speeders he is within 1-2 feet of fence rd exposed to northbound traffic. Hope others report this to GCPD too…

From Hwy 124 (Braselton Hwy) turning onto Mount Mariah. Once you turn on to Mount Mariah the speed drops to 35 mph. Bike cops like this area. It’s easy to go 50 mph or more while never touching the gas petal because the hill and slight curves.

Don’t do more than 5 miles over the limit, they can be found anywhere along the strip from Braselton Highway to Buford Drive

The area is near the Quik Trip and Waffle House as you travel southbound out of Dacula going towards 316. U.S. hwy 29 is a two-lane road leaving Dacula with a 45 MPH speed limit. As you approach Georgia Hwy. 316 a second southbound lane will appear as you round the curve and head down the hill. As you go up the hill there is a Waffle House and a Quik Trip on your right. There is usually a a Gwinnett County officer with no lights on and using laser, who will hit his blue lights about the time you get to the Waffle House. You will not be able to see them until you start up the hill and you can finally see his car. I just received a ticket along with a co-worker (ten minutes apart) on the same day this week. Another co-worker within the last month. Same officer, same time of morning, comparable speeds. Just be on the lookout early (4:30 A.M. or later or you could see blue lights to start your day.

Don’t speed on Hog Mountain Road, the Cops are all over it. They sit on the side of the road and get all of the speeders. Don’t flash your headlights either because they will give you a ticket for that too!
