College Drive near Dalton College   Dalton, Georgia

The Dalton State College Police have started enforcing the College Drive Road in front of the college. The road is clearly marked, and the speed is justified. It is just very hard to maintain 30 mph for several miles, and they will get you coming from the 40 to the 30.

Dalton Bypass   Dalton, Georgia

The Dalton Bypass is loaded with county officers hidden in as many places just over hills, in the media and so forth. This area although is in the county, Dalton City officers seen patrolling it is not uncommon. Georgia State patrol is also seen from time to time. I have even seen a dog catcher with someone pulled over to the side. This 4 lane divided highway (2 north, 2 south)(5-Lanes at red lights) should be 65 MPH according to state regulations, but has a speed limit of 55 MPH even though red lights are several miles apart. Several long straight aways with no sharp or blind curves what so ever. This 55MPH speed limit changes to 45 MPH where is crosses Chatsworth Hwy., Cleveland Hwy, and the Rockyface area with not much notice at all.

Walnut Avenue between Walnut Square Mall and I-75   Dalton, Georgia

City police sit in private driveways and on private property.
They also run huge sting operations for seatbelt violations.
Lately they were illegally running unmarked cars, which they were told by the state attorney general was indeed illegal and to stop it immediately. We also have SFW, which stands for "suspicious for walking"! Illegal harrassment!!

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
