Buford Highway and Sugarloaf Parkway   Duluth, Georgia

Cops sit at Buford Highway and clock you as you go down the hill. Says it's "due to two deaths." Beware because you can't see them going down the hill and you will inevitably go faster due to the slope and sudden stop.

Buford Highway through Duluth city limit   Duluth, Georgia

I normally go out of my way to not go through Duluth, but I let my guard down, and snagged me a $220 speeding ticket. Buford Hwy goes from 55 to 50 to 45 and, very quickly in the Duluth city limits, to 35. The Duluth police sit in groups of two to four along the road in the parking lots running next to the railroad tracks. They drive stealthy dark cars, no lights on top and they blend in to the area they are parked. Ticks me off seeing them ticket people not for safety-just for revenue production. Suwanee is just up the road and Buford Hwy runs through it, but the speed limit doesn't drop below 45.

On Peachtree Industrial Blvd just north of Sugarloaf Pkwy   Duluth, Georgia

You are on a downhill slope going north on Peachtree Industrial Pkwy. The speed limit is 55MPH. The speed limit turns to 65MPH north of Sugarloaf. The light's green, you ease into 70 (5MPH past 65). The Duluth cops clock you for going 70 in a 55 right before the intersection then follow you past the intersection to give you the ticket in the 65MPH zone because you exceeded the speed limited before you got to the light. Generates a lot of cash for Duluth, GA.

Howell Ferry Rd. NW between Peachtree Industrial Blvd. and Pleasant Hill Rd. NW   Duluth, Georgia

Howell Ferry Rd. NW is a hill that starts at 35mph at the Pleasant Hill Rd. NW side, but the speed limit drops to 25 mph. If you let your car coast down the hill you will be going at least 45mph!! So when you get pulled over.............The Gwinnett Medical Center Duluth is on one side and Howell Station Academy is on the other.

Parson's Road (Johns Creek)   Duluth, Georgia

Just after Hampstead Way (Parsons Run Subdivision), at the bottom of a hill and curve, parked in the entrance lane to Hampton Hall. Speed limit on Parson's Road is 35, and the Johns Creek police show no mercy. Black patrol cars are hard to detect at night. I live in Parson's Run, so I see them all the time.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
