Rivertown Road near US Highway 92   Fairburn, Georgia

Rivertown Rd. is a very long street. The speed limit goes from unmarked in unicorporated Fulton County to 35 MPH, then down to 25 MPH in the city limits, with little warning. Going east on Rivertown Rd, heading into town & about 1/8 mile before reaching Hwy 92 (Campbellton St.), a police officer usually sits in a vacant parking lot in between two houses. By the time he is seen, the driver is almost at the stop sign and starting to slow down but most drivers haven't slowed to 25 MPH yet and the police officer is just sitting there waiting. It seems to be a reliable source of revenue for the city.

I-85 from exit 61 and beyond   Fairburn, Georgia

Exit 61 Peahctree City/Fairburn cops can usually be seen on the overpass targeting cars headed north bound with patrols further down to pull them over. On occasion I have seen as many as 4 cars pulled over. I have seen this on other over passes further north but not as often as this exit. They will also sit under the overpass and target south bound cars. One radar car and one to pull over. Cars are Fairburn marked patrols and are white and stand out easily.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
