On Hwy 411   Fairmount, Georgia

Though Fairmount is an extremely tiny town, they now have two police cars waiting at one time on Hwy 411. They give the impression of a town looking to produce as much revenue as possible via tickets. No consideration is given as to whether you are trying to obey all laws; they just write tickets. Also, the speed limit sign that used to be by the IGA grocery store has been missing for a very long time, leaving us to guess that we are still allowed to increase our speed to 45mph at that point.

One officer, in particular, will stop someone for the smallest offense, even a couple of miles over the posted limit and likes to sit in dark, concealed areas to catch unaware motorist.

State Highway 411 at S.R. 53   Fairmount, Georgia

Revenue raising road block set up at south edge of city limits on Memorial Day weekend (Friday evening around 9 P.M.). Had approximately six storm troopers holding up the motoring public and confiscating funds. Surprised that the little hiccup town had that large a police force. Must be really raking in the fines! Would sure like to know what the total take was in dollars from fines for the holiday weekend in the state of Georgia.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
