Grantville, Georgia Speed Traps

Grantville PD works their exit on I-85, they sit in directly on the on ramp bridge that is on a hill furthermore blocked by a curve. Northbound from this exit up to the first newnan exit, where the concrete barrier starts GSP works with Grantville PD to man this 3.5 mile stretch. I’ve seen as many as 7 cruisers pulling cars over in succession. They like to sit behind that barrier on the Moreland/Greenville exit, so southbound traffic can’t see them. Beware of this section. After you pass the first newnan exit northbound the presence of law enforcement is obsolete.

speed trap is between Grantville in Meriwether County and just below Hoganville in Troup County Georgia on I-85 both north and south. Meriwether sheriff dept is working I-85 just south of Grantville GA, and Hoganville police are working I-85 at the Hoganville exit
